Terms of Service
These Terms govern use of EvidenceHelix. By creating an account or using the authenticated service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Research and educational use
EvidenceHelix organizes biomedical research, public clinical-trial information, scientific evidence, and related research workflows. It does not diagnose a person, prescribe or select treatment, replace a clinician, or provide emergency medical services.
2. Public-data-only v1
You may use the v1 Clinical Intelligence workspace only with public research material that you have the right to provide. You must not upload patient records, participant-level trial data, PHI, confidential sponsor/CRO materials, personal medical histories, unlawfully obtained data, or third-party confidential information.
3. Product exclusions
EvidenceHelix is not a medical-imaging management platform, EDC, CTMS, eTMF, patient portal, personal health record, diagnostic system, treatment-selection system, prescribing system, or autonomous regulatory-submission system.
4. Your account
You are responsible for accurate registration information, protecting your credentials, and activity under your account. You must promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use EvidenceHelix to violate law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, re-identify protected individuals, scrape restricted data, evade source-access controls, or submit content you do not have the right to use.
6. Your content
You retain rights you hold in content you submit. You grant EvidenceHelix a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and transform that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the service.
7. Third-party research sources
Third-party publications, datasets, registries, APIs, and websites remain subject to their owners' terms, licenses, and attribution requirements. EvidenceHelix does not grant rights in third-party content.
8. AI outputs
AI-generated text may contain errors, omissions, or unsupported interpretations. It is a research aid, not evidence by itself. Users must review cited sources and exercise independent judgment.
9. Intellectual property
EvidenceHelix software, branding, documentation, and original product materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law except where an open-source license expressly provides otherwise.
10. Availability and changes
Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued. We may restrict access to protect users, the service, third parties, source rights, or legal obligations.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EvidenceHelix is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or medical suitability.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EvidenceHelix and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. EvidenceHelix may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms, security risk, unlawful use, or rights violations.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will receive an updated effective date and, when appropriate, additional notice.
15. Governing principles
These Terms are subject to applicable law and non-waivable consumer rights. Enterprise customers may receive separate written terms that control where they conflict with these Terms.
